Designing for the airport requires in-depth understanding of the extreme demands of highly sophisticated global travelers and their preferred choice of experiential environments
From departing passengers at the check in counters to passing the immigration stations enroute to transit lounges before enplaning at the boarding gates in the airport, the stores that are built in it must also respond accordingly over time. Sense of place, feel and touch, these are all elements that we considered when designing for each region.
In addition to using modern conversion and penetration strategies, we referred to tested design concepts embraced by international hub airports for the last 2 decades, combining the two to create well heeled commercial stores in this time restraint airport environment.
